The homeowners of this classic farmhouse were looking for an updated kitchen layout that was both beautiful and functional. Their previous kitchen layout was not optimal for cooking large meals, nor did it have the cabinet space they needed. They also were tossing around the idea of adding an entry way into their living room for easier accessibility. We quickly went to work designing an accessory filled space, that addressed all their needs while offering an updated style.
We felt it was important to preserve the classic look of their home while sprinkling in a few modern touches along the way. We added an island that features a cooking range and breakfast bar that offered even more cabinet space than was initially anticipated. Granite countertops and custom designed accents, added to the overall look and feel of the space.
New cabinets spanning up to the ceiling gave them nearly double the storage, and the classic white finish complimented the style of their existing décor. We removed a small section of wall that gave them access to multiple rooms downstairs, making their new kitchen the focal point, and flowing perfectly with the existing layout.
